My vegetable garden started off small last summer, it has now been exapanded twice since then. I am growing 3 different types of tomatoes, peppers, chilli's cabbage, gerhkins, pumpkins, ghourds, rock melon, courgettes, silverveet, potatoes, kumera, 2 types of beans, garlic, red onions, strawberries, guava's ,raspberries, blueberries, basil, thyme, sage, rosemary, lettuce, beetroot, echinachea, luffia and various companion plants. I had no idea that I was growing so much.

would you have some spare water kefir grains spare? Have got myself some healthy milk grains going, but want to explore the water grains now too. Am happy to swap for sourdough starter, seeds and willing to pay for postage :0)

hi Yvonne, I asked my friend about her lemon & feijoa wine recipe the other day when I went to visit her and she laughed at me, told me I should know by now that she doesn't follow a recipe to anything, just adds a bit of this & a bit of that and walla! Needless to say that I came away empty handed... :O(

hello, glad to learn that the cuttings took, they literally grow wild here. Made a batch of elderflower cordial, adapted Isabell's recipe https://ooooby.ning.com/group/preservingyoursurplus/forum/topics/eld... using double the quantity of flowerheads & lemon juice. Also made some lemon barley cordial, using frozen zest and juice. Was eating boiled barley for a week - is rather nice with miso soup, seaweed & spring onion. Hubby wasn't so keen to sample :) Do let me know if you're planning a visit this way.

Hi Yvonne...you're very welcome. Other things I am going to make...Lemon cordial, Lime marmalade, berry jam, herb infused oils and vinegars. Nothing is expensive, and all are great gifts. Heaps of fun!

Hehehe, i thought i had replied to this.. they have fixed the roundabout up alot, its now 2 lanes and flows much better, I travel thru it a couple of times a day!
