Tell us about your garden and what you're growing

I'm very new to gardening and don't have much confidence! At the moment I just have herbs going, but would like to grow more things as I learn more. I follow the Weston A Price way of eating so am right into my nutrition. I have the cultures Kombucha, Caspian Sea Yogurt, Local Sourdough Starter, Water Kefir Grains, and Milk Kefir Grains available all the time, if any one wants to purchase them off me, or barter!

  • Hi

I am Spamming calling for working bee, see bellow for details.

I check your profile because you are looking for lemmons in somebody else profile, so we may have a deal at some stage, but they are green.

Pop up if you can on Sunday, I hope that several people will come.

The rest is copy and paste:

Looking for Gardening and Yard labour profiles in Auckland

Sunday 22 MAy 1030 in my house Working Bee.

Then we will decide where are we going to go next.

Have a look in Working Bees Auckland Group.

    Nice to meet you.

  • Hi Kylie,

I wish it was! I'd love to still have grapefruits but our tree ran out mid-December. Thanks for asking though and reminding me that I need to remove that offer.  Good news is it looks like we'll have even more next year. :-)

  • Hello Kylie,

Yes I still have plenty of lemons. I would charge $2.50 per Kg. They are still on the tree, so you could come and pick your choice of the perfect lemons.
My contact details 623 1330 or 029 437 1777. I live in Eldon Road in Balmoral.
Please give me a bell and we can arrange a time that is good for you to come and pick some lemons.

  • my seed list is on page 2 of the group, maybe I could send some herb plants instead? oregano, mint, horseradish, comfrey, pineapple sage....to exchange addresses would be best to message each other privately, so I will make a friend link, thanks :)
  • HI Kylie, I'd really like to get some of your caspian yoghurt culture, I could swap some seeds for this, I have heaps, you can see a list on the NZ plant and seed exchange group here on ooooby
  • ARGHH! I have not been on ooooby for months (since sometime last year) so have only just gotten your message. Let's just say I had 1600 unopened emails in my email account so ooooby has not been a priority.

I am horrified that you may have thought I am some sort of wheel chairphobe CSF hater- arghhh again. My lack of reply was purely due to the modern disease electronic-info-overload-itis.

I am keen to resurrect the idea of a WAP cook n' share. Our house is usually reasonably wheel chair friendly but is currently filled with everything from my partners shed while the shed is being moved (corridoors are filled with stuff so even a two legged person turned to their side has trouble). The shed should be moved in the next few weeks and then we will have clear corridoors and a single level house (and a manual labourer partner who could help you up the three front stairs).

I'll get in touch with Nicola and let you know when I am free and you can let us know when you are free and feeling up to it. How does that sound?
  • Thanks Kylie, I am planing to pick up the bucket tomorrow.
    Diane
  • Great cheese Kylie!
And I think I left my red bucket at your place...
  • Thanks Kylie, I could come around 12.30 tomorrow and bring you the things you said you'd be interested in. Cheers
    Diane
