Kathrina has been a member and previous chair of the Auckland Heirloom Seedsavers Network for 6 years. Her 25 yr old garden reflects this in the variety of vegetables grown. Her quarter acre section is packed with fruit trees, ornamentals and vegetables, chickens and bees. Kathrina is always experimenting with new ways of gardening and is currently trying her hand at ‘trenching’. Her aim is to grow as much food as possible in a sustainable way. Definitely a visit not to be missed out on!
If you want to make a day of it take a visit to the Auckland Botanic Gardens which are just round the corner.
Directions: Take the Manurewa exit on the Southern motorway. Turn left on to Hill Rd past the Botanic Gardens then take next left down Charles Prevost and Lemonwood is first on the right.
