Hi, I have been given Goji Berry plants, a power food/fruit from Tibet. Anyone tried planting these? Wonder how well they will do here on the island? I welcome any suggestions.

Hi Gabriella,
I bought a Goji Plant at a nursery and apparently the Goji bush is dormant in winter and deciduous.
The tag on the plant I bought says:
Patio pot plant- friendly.Grows well on trellis or fence or free standing. Hardy, dry tolerant,(probably O.K. for Waiheke)profusely cropping, likes full sun/semi-shade.Fertilize in spring/summer with general fertilizer. Lightly prune in winter when dormant/deciduous.
Has delicious cherry/cranberry- like red berries during spring-summer.Eat straight from the plant / make Goji tea / Dried/chocolate coated / Breakfast cereal / make Goji wine / kids snacks / add to smoothies / juice / add to coffee.
Packed with unique disease fighting/anti-aging polysaccharides, fatty acids, trace minerals and flavonoids.
