I would be very interested to hear how anyone is using kohlrabi. I decided to plant some this year and now they are ready I am not quite sure how to use them!

i grow it and think its just the bees knees when it comes to a hardy winter veggie.
Ive grown for a few years now one from Kings called Early Purple Vienna which is a heirloom variety, its ok but has a short period where it at its best,if its left to long in the garden it becomes bitter and hard.
For next season i got some seed from Canada of a F1 hybrid called Superschmeltz, handles temps as low as -20C doesn't go biter and grows to the size of a soccer bal.You can get this seed into NZ,i asked customs before i brought it in if it was ok and they say yes if it comes from a seed company and is in packets, you can buy from www.westcoastseeds.com
We grate them into a coleslaw, but are also nice eaten raw in a dip

Thanks Richard - maybe some seed from yours next season!
this is the first year i tried growing kohlrabi, (a $1 punnet form mitre10), and I thought they were great, it didn't matter if the leaves got chomped a little by slugs and caterpillars, which brassicas always do, there was still an edible bit! I tried them steamed with a sour creamy topping, they were ok but I think I prefer them grated into a salad as Richard suggested.
