Disease on my pea plant?

I put down some pea straw as mulcha couple of months ago and had nice little pea sprouts popping up from the seeds in it. Also, i planted some telephone pea plants.

Both have since started getting brown blemishes on their leaves and stems - worse clo

last year's beans failed and now this year's peas have gone the same way - think I've identified it as blight, but no idea what next. All I read is throw the plants away, no treatment, don't plant anything in the soil...its a disaster! Can anyone adv
