preserving cucumbers

I have lots of apple cucumbers coming through at the mo and was wondering if I can pickle / preserve them. There are lots of recipe's for the small gerkin and green cucumber on the net. Can I use the apple variety instead of the others?

Hiya, You can definitely substitute Apple Cucumbers for telegraph, lebanses or normal common green cucmbers in any pickly recipe. Good luck.
