Flo has kindly agreed to host us for tea and whatever on the afternoon of Sunday 25 July. Thught it would be a good time to talk about what grows well round here for spring and summer. Bring any seed catalogues you have if you want and we can talk about splitting orders.
Bringing seeds, plants and produce to swap seemed to work well lat time too, so let's do that again.
She is in the old Kohanga at the end of Tilley Rd (can't remember the number, will put a wee sign up).

Some news for our Sunday 25th meeting - David Johnson is going to come and talk to us about Effective Microorganisms (EM). If you don't know what this is, try the Bokashi website..... http://www.bokashi.co.nz/EM-1.htm
It's basically wicked organic liquid fertiliser...
I have seen the results of using it in a friend's Otaki Beach garden (think sandy extremely low in organic matter "soil"), yet she had the most lush crop of veges.
Some of you may already have a Bokashi Bucket and can share your experience.
There's a Bokashi group on Ooooby if you're already keen to discuss more.
There are some very interesting other uses for EM too which I'm sure David will be able to tell us all about.
And sure Prue, if you want to bring a plate, we can make it afternoon tea!

The number is 137 Tilley Rd... being in the old Kohanga Reo, we have a very child friendly garden!
