I first became aware of Peak Oil Production in 2004 and then got worried in 2008 when the Credit Crunch happened. I decided I couldn't go wrong by learning to garden properly. I studied heaps of books and experimented in a garden I had then. Then I found out I really enjoyed growing my own food; I was hooked!
I am especially interested in growing food that is hard to find in shops because of short shelf life, or due to it being a bit untraditional. So I've specialised in growing all sorts of figs, boysenberries, raspberries, loganberries, and heirloom apples. Man, they taste so much better than the fruits in the shops. I'm especially impressed with boysenberries.
