Started out with square foot gardening and expanded last year, so I can try out some permaculture basics. We have a small lot in Salt Lake City. Growing walnuts, carrots, red grapes, blackberries, garlic, onions, lettuce, chard, parsley, parsnips, asparigus (2nd year), peas, acorn squash, bush beans, arugala, beets, zuchini, basil, rosemary, heirloom tomatos, cherry tomatos, peaches. We have 250 gallons of rainwater catchment around the house and i mostly hand water. 'Very theraputic.

I'm up here in Twin Falls, Idaho. Good idea with the water catchment. I putting one in this early spring to catch about 500 gallons of that spring rain water. I was thinking of setting up a drip system. Have you tried that yet?
