Hi Matt, nice to hear from you, and to know that your comfrey is doing so well. I know the root pieces I sent were small but I've found this year that those pieces seem to grow well. I'd be interested in knowing about differences in the varieties you have - let me know when you see variations. I haven't been in here much - we've been busy extending the house, and I've harvested and frozen tomatoes, corn, and kumara. It's been so wet here I didn't trust the kumara to dry enough to store, so parboiled and froze it. Just took in the second crop of pumpkins today, and still have to collect the chillies, which I will put in jars and cover with olive oil and store in the fridge. Best regards, Janet

Matt I'm fine about giving you some of my comfrey - but I'm not sure which one I have - I'll take some photos tomorrow and you can try to see if they are different from the ones you already have. Hi Matt I have some comfrey you are welcome to come and take roots from - not sure if it is Russian though - has purple flowers and was planted by a herbalist who used to live here. I am in Kingsland, if you are interested. Denise
