Hi Sarah, Great to meet you on Ooooby.
Love 'The Great Vegetable Plot'. I was inspired to seek out some of your recommended vege varieties here in New Zealand.
Hello Sarah. One of our members, Gabriella, has suggested I take a look at your books and possibly feature them for a little while. Do you have a url that you could put on your page that people can click through to for a look at your books?
Hello Sarah - how lovely to see your entry on Ooooby. I was delighted to discover this site some months ago just after arriving from England, and it has not only provided a wealth of friends, but some welcome free plants/seeds also!!
Only this last Sunday our local Hawkes Bay group met, ate a lovely pot luck lunch and came away with our goodies ready for planting out. It will be the equivalent of March by next weekend and today I haveplanted out broad beans, although we already have sizeable plants in flower - some cut and come again lettuces and sprouting broccoli to replace the broccoli that we have already grown and eaten. The climate is good for the veggie enthusiasts.
One of my keenest ambitions is to create a flower picking garden aka your book, but to date no sale on the house in England so I am biding my time and planning it instead.
I must say I miss the gardening programmes the BBC had to offer and so far they do not seem to feature on NZ TV [unlike the many cookery options]. I know the seasons are different, but we emigrees can convert!!
I hope you are well and enjoying life over there.
Kind regards
Lyn
