We have lots of high res images from when we did a feature in Good

Comment by Stillcookin on February 17, 2011 at 6:57pm What an awesome job of beekeeping you are doing. Your mite count looks managable. If it gets worse, the is always food grade mineral oil. It works well for me. The Pseudoscorpion is very interesting. Someone is doing a study on them to see how well they control mites in hives, in larger numbers.
Keep up the good work.

Yes we do mites counts on all our hives and put this information on our blog at http://kiwimana.co.nz

To access the movie use this link:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hp9uaoGZYKM
It pretty much explains how to do it, but if anyone has any further questions the feel free to email me at info@kiwimana.co.nz.
We are trying to avoid using pesticides in our hives this year if we can help it. For those new Bee Keepers there is alternatives to using chemicals.
Thanks

Comment by Janet Luke on February 3, 2011 at 7:23am Got lots of wax from your hive? This is how I made a Solar wax melter ( from recycled materials) to filter and clean all my bees wax from my Top Bar Hive.
