sweet corn leaf damage

My sweet corn plants have unusual shredded damage to the leaves that I don't recognise coming from snails/slugs. Can anyone shed light on this? I'm wondering if it is from earwigs. It's starting to look pretty awful so I'll probably need to put some more seeds down.

  • Use Quash for slugs - iron based product, snails are poisoned by iron but it doesn't affect pets or the hedgehogs that eat the dead snails. Blitzem has killed a lot of hedgies.
