A very tidy shed with new shelves courtesy of Owen who has also strimmed around the communal fruit trees

Don't forget to come along to the SBS Bank stall at the Remarkables market this weekend. Jacqui Stubbs will be there between 11am - 12pm to sign copies of her book "Raising Queenstown".

The SBS Bank are running their Seed Promotion again this year and supporting Harvest Gardens. There will be a stall at the Remarkables Market on 27th August where there will be samples of the packets of seed that the SBS are giving away (although none will be given away on the day), some germinated seedlings, the Jacqui Stubbs Books, the prizes that SBS will be drawing out at the end of the promotion and vouchers for seeds and the local businesses discounts.

It will run from 10 - 2 pm so if you can spare an hour or so to help man the stall, please email us on harvestgardensqt@gmail.com  For more information, call Megan, Annette or Robin. PM me for our contact numbers.

Do take a look at Neville's photos of our new compost bins that he has kindly built for us at the garden. He has also moved the electric fence charger to a sunnier spot and his garden is truely inspiring!

SBS Queenstown are promoting Harvest Community Gardens with a Spring seed giveaway and prize draws including Yates Gardening Book; a donation to Harvest with the sale of every copy of Jacqui Stubbs' Growing your own in the Wakatipu; Tui products and other goodies from local companies. Do drop into the SBS on the corner of Camp and Shotover St and support Harvest Gardens.

it wasn't a rabbit after all, thanks to who ever left the Timms trap at the garden, hear that it caught the possum that had been feasting on our vegetables. If there's anyone out there who has construction skills, could do with some assistance reducing the size of the shed, please send us an email.

Met up with David & Dawn who are about to stake out an area next to Kirsteen & Ryan at the Gorge Rd garden and took a couple of new photos. Neville's area looking good despite the unwelcome attention of a rabbit. Walked the perimeter of our fence and couldn't see where it managed to sneak in nor any obvious signs of a burrow.
The shed and tank are in place now.

The digger was on site today levelling the ground for our water tank and prepared new beds for Andrew, Eli & James and Kent.
