    Great idea Gabrielle - By the look of it you are a sponge for information of the gardening variety, and I'm better there's al sorts of gems in John Glover.

    yes, thanks for that... you are right mostly for the start of tomato plants.. I started late!!! thanks for the helpful hints.. i do use a lot of the ash from our fireplaces in the compost heap... would you consider sharing more through a workshop or sorts at oooby i wonde r:-)
