    HI Sandra, Ihave some quinoa seed I could send you, the plant actually takes a long time to mature, so needs to be started early in spring, maybe in trays to start with, its easy to harvest, just rub off the seeds when the heads are dry, before the birds get it! the variety i have is called temuco and is available from koanga. apparently it is not such a bitter one, and doesn't need so much rinsing, the stuff you buy at say the binn inn has been cleaned, to be honest i have not tried cooking my own crop....

    Hi Sandra,

    Great. There were two little ones there last week so the may even have some playmates.

    Just to let you know, I am going to delete the Group - Community Gardens and I invite you instead to accept a friend invitation from Community Gardens - Ostend, it just seems to work better that way.

    The kids are keen to help. They've been helping at home. When we were going to Playgroup they used to help at the Blackpool gardens and love it.

    Tuesdays are good for them so might turn up.

    Hi Sandra,

    There is a working group going to the gardens every Tuesday from 10am-12noon. I wasn't clear from your message whether you want to come while you don't have the kids or your husband wants to come with the kids?

    Tanya Batt is interested in running Kid's events in the gardens, so look out for that too.

    Hi Sandra,

    Thanks for your encouragement and enthusiasm regarding the Ostend Community Gardens. I have started a brand new 'Group' in Ooooby called 'Community Gardens - Ostend' please find it by going to Groups and making a search for Community Gardens. Come and join me there!
    There may not be much happening on this page for a few weeks as I am going to be away..
