DROP CLOTH CURTIANS

Gardening gets "Down & Dirty" and the suns rays can be pretty hard on cloth. If your needing to create shade in a greenhouse, garden shed or on your patio, consider using "Paint Drop Cloths". If your not concerned about their looks and have some around to recycle consider using what you have. If their a bit messed up you can paint them with exterior paints. Paint companies always have a bunch of no-match-mix-ups somewhere for super cheap.

The main thing is they are tough! See if you can find a grommet machine at a sewing shop to help you out or just sew curtain rod pockets for hanging.

  • Looks like a garage cabana! I like it.
I am currently using to big paint cloths as drop cloths on my couch because I have dogs and they just will not stay off. I can't be strict enough to keep them down. Saved the sofa.
We have used them for a stage curtain when the kids were younger as I had a daughter that loved to do plays in the back yard. The neighborhood kids would all get together and do talent shows. The deck of the stage was several sheets of plywood that had been lifted from the ground on pallets that we had gotten from some business that no longer wanted them.
Seeing them hung up again made me think that movie night in the garden just may happen. It is the time for spooky movies here as Halloween approaches.
    • I hadn't thought about them as couch covers but that's a great idea! I live by the ocean and that would work on my couches, like a boat sail cloth. Great ideas Margaret!
    • Beats having sand in the upholstery! I learned to do it in Florida LOL
