Hey all I have some capsicums growing in pots in my glasshouse that can have temperatures ranging from 18 - 30+ in summer and I have capsicums growing in there but they have gone all curly and thin plus all the leaves dropped off but they are now starting to grow back. Do you think it was irregular watering, fungal, or perhaps the variations in heat in the glasshouse causing the problems? Also the eggplants are producing flowers but there is never any fruit the flowers just seem to eventually whither and die and no fruit ever appears. I have heard they can be a bit testy to grow but the neighbour who gave them to me said I was doing fine watering them daily and feeding them with fertilizer every other week. Any thoughts?

Hi Vivien,if you growing in pots, keeping the water up to them is not easy, try a drip system, either using a plastic piping or plastic milk contaners with a small hole in the bottom.
Eggplants need to have wind or bees to shake the pollen down the stamen, flicking the flowers with you fingers will do the same thing

Ah that explains why the eggplants aren't pollinating I might just do that and see if it helps. Yes, I had noticed the neighbour keeps upended coke bottles with the base cut out to water at the roots of her plants so maybe I should do the same?
