I was given a seedling at the beginning of summer but the person who gave it to me didn't know exactly what it was (other than some kind of cucurbit), so I planted it. It grew all over the place (to the extent of almost smothering nearby plants) and confused me completely by producing white flowers, not the usual yellow ones. Very late in the season it produced odd green gourd shaped fruit (pic attached, glove to show scale). I've pulled it out as it was getting out of hand and looking a bit tatty anyway, but it would be nice for my ongoing education if I could identify it (and maybe save seeds if it's a useful plant).
Has anyone seen these before?
