arghhh! this is what is happening - is there anything I can do??? I guess it is because of the rain but don't know...can I use green peaches for a chutney or something before they all turn brown and smelly??

I used lots of peaches some green & some ripe for a jam... just throw them in a large pot & add sugar to taste (the recipe that I saw suggested the same ammount of sugar as peaches, but it was a bit too sweet!) for the greener peaches, they just take a bit longer to boil down, I boiled them for about 3 hours all told!!
