i have several varieties of tomatoes that have been incredibly prolific this summer. its been my first season of such successful toms so i've been really pleased. however the main crop seems to be over, but the plants are still growing and putting out more flowers. at this rate there wont be any garden left for anything else! should i get drastic and rip them out or leave for more fruit. I'm in a dilemma.
thanks

Gayleen, I'm in the same predictment... I've been picking beans for months now and just picked another couple of kilos last night... still lots of tomatos but am worried as well as I've heard that by now I should have my winter veges planted.. can anyone else help? What should I do and when is it 'too late' to plant brocs, caulis, etc. Sorry i'm not much help. thanks.
I had the same problem, but the condition of the plants were changing so I pulled them out, but I cut any well developed green fruit off (whole vine/truss) to ripen in the fruit bowl. And made room for winter veg crops instead!
