Spraying for Leaf Curl

Hi All,
I was told to spray my peach and nectarine trees for leaf curl at bud swell. I saw the buds swelling so sprayed and then flowers appeared not leaves... have I sprayed too early? Should I spray again when the leaves look like they are developing?
Help would be appreciated.
Caroline

  • I no longer worry about leaf curl. The affected leaves are burnt off by sun and wind and are replaced by mostly healthy leaves in early summer
  • Thanks Isabell. The link was most helpful and what you said in this post does make sense. Thanks for putting my concerns at ease.

I dont think you have sprayed too early, peach trees blossom before they leaf and that is the normal bud swell. the spray is residual and I think the idea is to eliminate the fungus before the leaves form.
