Hey I'm wondering if anyone out there can offer some advice or ideas. I've just hatched 2 doz eggs in an incubator and 4 of the chicks have become limp and can't stand, they just scrabble about on their stomachs. 2 of them keep rolling onto their sides or backs with their legs sticking out and shaking at times. This seemed to hit on the 2nd day now they are 3 days old. The 2 that roll on their backs seem to have twisted necks as well. Its the first time I've hatched hen eggs in the incubator, we did quail and had no problems. I brought the eggs off trademe from someone who is supposed to be a good breeder. Am wondering if it is a genitic fault or maybe wrong temp in the incubator? I'm thinking I will have to cull the chicks which raises another question, how to do this? I would be greatful for any advice, till then I will keep trolling the internet....
