  • Hi Josephal,

yes am aware that there is one of each and i do intend to use for cooking , seems people do use both to cook  with but more so with the leaves from the bush i understand.... here we do not have a kings barn to go to and palmers garden centre did not have them, thanks for info , helen

By the way - Anyone out there got helpful tips for growing GINGER while i am here on line  .... I have 3 small pieces with sprouts/corms  to try and grow ... all ideas welcome to make them grow faster ...!

  • Hi

You can probable fine it at your local Kings plant barn, in the Herb section! but if you want it to use in cooking curry, Curry is a mix of spices from any number of spices up to 20 different ones! But the only spice they never put into curry is the curry spice! Strange I know but true!

  • I have a curry herb bush - its a few years old.. This is the one you mean, right?  http://www.mountainvalleygrowers.com/heltalicum.htm

I am in the Waikato. You are more than welcome to a cutting/s of mine.

    Just PM me. :-)

I am going to be awful and ask both people who have replied for a couple of cuttings on the off chance that one is a better grower! Maybe  if you have an old seed head as well  i could try from seed too   Thanks so much : my address is 50 robinson cres , napier.

Anything i can exchange with you , I  really only have marigolds and hollyhock seeds right now but you are most welcome to some, and  a few trumpet pepper seeds, thanks so much for reply , I have been trying for about two years ...so today is a great day now....thanks again, h

  • Curry herb or the Indian curry leaf tree? Presume you mean tree. You should be able to get a curry leaf tree from trademe or if you are passing Auckland might be lucky to find in Indian stores. Not sure how it would do in colder climates.
    •  i am looking for the curry herb bush - cheers
