have learnt that not everyone is receiving the ooooby gathering messages I've been sending via this website, for some reason... so thought I'd better touch base and see if you are getting them, and if not - if you'd like to be in the loop just give me your email address and will fwd them that way ;)
normally there are backyard gatherings the 2nd sat of each month between 10am-12noon, and a great way to share produce and swap seeds etc :)
this month is sustainable backyards month, so we have extra events - we had a stall at the nashi harvest festival at the arty house in tepuna early march, which was fun :) and a gathering at the mount community garden last wkend.
this weekend on sun 16th we'll have an ooooby share table as part of the stalls at they sydenham botanic reserve in otumoetai, 1-4pm. (hopefully the weather will work out) and sat the 22nd we'll have an ooooby share table at the envirofest family funday/workshop day at the historic village 10-3pm ;)
might try some sunday gatherings from april to see how that suits people and that gathering will probably be at Jane Powel's in Papamoa that month, she's the one who often runs the 'make your own probiotics' and cheesemaking workshops.
hope you are enjoying 2014, and look forward to seeing you if you'd like to come along sometime :)

Hiya :) you can use this box here on anyone's page, if you click on their names to reach their page, then scroll down down down to nearly the bottom of the page to the comment wall :o) to reply or leave any messages to anyone individually.
You're more than welcome to come along to any of the gatherings, which are the 2nd sat of each month in different members backyards - whoever wants to have one at their place! :) Has been great meeting lots of different people and sharing lots of produce and ideas.
The next one will be on Waihi Road, as detailed on the group page ;)
Howdy. with your kefir are you buying coconut water in a can or jar. or milking fresh ones? Could you attempt to describe the flavour? sounds very interesting :)
Hi, no need to apologise, Im not on the net very often so I dont expect instant replies :) I have contacted a lady and should be sorted by next week. Thanx anyway im realy looking forward to it.
And thanks for clearing up my confusion in the caspian yoghurt department, i thought it must have come from the sea! I use raw milk at home, would rather go without if I couldnt get it.
HI there, thought it would be easier to comment on your page. I see your in Tauranga, I am just over the ranges in TeAroha. Do kefir grains post well? I came over your way awhile to volunteer for the oil spill clean up, and am hoping to come back to do some more, so if they dont post well I could pick up :)
Hi WAPF nut, welcome to ooooby and thanks for joining the Weston A Price Group. I hope you are finding some useful information around here. Be sure to start any discussions if you fancy, happy spring : ) Bridge
Hi I am in Wellington, but I'd happily sent you up some of my milk kefir for some of your water Kefir grains. PM me your address if you like. Cheers MO
