My Cauliflower

I know it's not the most enormous cauliflower you've ever seen but it's gorgeous and it's relatives were delicious , so I'm really proud of my cauliflowers this season. The 'secret',to their health and beauty, is that they're grown in a patch of ground that was heaped over with the weeded-out plants from the garden, left to break down for a season, before the ground was cultivated again.

Now it's too big for the house

When my husband an I first got to married we purchased a small cactus to place on the window sill. Who would have known that it would still be with us, almost twenty years on. Now it's too big for the house and lives in a lonely pot in the garden.
