  • Hi Penny. Thanks for your help, I rang but they've sold out. Guess I will take a pot luck shot at TM. Hopefully they are selling a reliable product.

  • we have planted our first lot of garlic this year in buckets, 4 a bucket and they ar doing really well so far!
  • I hope it's not too late! I planted mine a week ago. The woman at the garden centre said it was OK.
  • Excellent - thanks all :)
  • they bulb up in the last month, last year i did a check on my garlic in about novemeber and thought that my garlic was a failure, i waited unitl the tops started going brown and died down---they were all bulbed up and great.

Good to hear - I'll get that in this week - I hear it's best to put garlic in fridge/freezer beforehand or is that unnecessary? Last year I literally plopped some cloves in the ground but they were very small when I pulled them... I may have been a bit too keen and pulled too early, mind.
  • no apparently you can plant up to august, so i have been told. You will just harvest them slightly later.

  • Good to know, our garden bed is still not ready for planting and we love growing garlic!
