My worm farm has been invaded by rats (bad design - my fault)
do rats eat worms?
The reason I ask is that there seems to be a lot less worms in my worm farm,
unless they have escaped through the rat hole.
any input is greatly appreciated.

thank you Anna but, I don't feed the worms any meat scraps
thank you Greg - It looks like I'll need to start over.
I built the worm farm in an old orchard kiwi crate
the moistness of the soil caused the wood to rot - easier for the rats to chew through.
Would lining it with heavy plastic resolve my problem?
I read that if you throw meat scraps in your farm, rats and mice will eventually invade. I hope they don't eat your worms - that would be horrific! Lets just say they escaped are living happily in your garden somewhere. :-) Good luck!
