The weather has suddenly gone very hot. Yesterday it was over 33 degrees in the shade in my garden (bit more than the weather forecast was saying) and I noticed in the evening that my can-o-worms (in the garage) has a fermenting sort of smell coming from it rather than the usual earthy smell. The worms are multiplying like mad, and there are tons in the top tray making slippery slimey sounds. None have tried to escape so there is no evidence of unhappy wormies. Should I be worried about this or add some lime, or will the smell eventually go if I let the worms do their thing?

Hi Iona,
You could add more lime & lots of paper & turn it over. this fixes most problems.
