Tell us about your garden and what you're growing
I had a wonderful garden to care for over the past couple of years with lots of fruit trees and two large vege beds. It was real inner city bliss! But then the landlords wanted their house back for themselves (how dare they!) and so we had to move. We're now in a house which is lovely, but there is no space for a vege garden. So I am feeling very grateful for the local community gardens at St Columba Church! I have recently put in some broad beans, radichio, rocket and parsley. Can't wait to get some basil and tomatoes going and lots more greens. I have several pots of herbs at home too.

Glad you enjoyed the blog. I agree-bees are very special.
Hi Pania,
I’m in my final year of a 4 year industrial design degree at Massey University.
For our final year each student decides on a problem or an area that they would like to improve on. We then spend the entire year researching and developing this.
For my final year project I want to make sustainable living more achievable for non-property owners. One of the ways in which I believe this could be achieved is a product that allows people to grow their own vegetables.
So maybe if you have any ideas/ suggestions for this or maybe know of someone who could help me in this area would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks,
AndreaAnd if you are interested in hearing about what's going on with rooftop gardening, I started a group called City Rooftop Food Gardening: https://ooooby.ning.com/group/cityrooftopfoodgardens
