  thanx toni i'll definately have a look out for that magazine! Man thats alot of broccoli and cabbage LOL! ive got to cover up my broccoli actually because something is voraciously eating them all up! will the cloche protect from frost then? thanx for the quick reply- good luck with your sale!

  Ive seen tyres work really well in someone else garden actually. Hope that has been working out for you! Sadly it looks like were coming to the end of the sunny weather! Im now at a bit of a loose end as to what to do for winter! Any ideas?? i'd like to continue growing throughout the year but as yet i havent figured out where to start! Do the worms do alright right through winter?
  
  P.S.i agree, only growing veggies is a little purist for me too!

  hi toni im attempting to grow many things! however zuccini seems to the only one behaving itself so far!! i transplanted the other stuff (see my page) much too late i think. i had been progagating from seed in a green house, which worked really well and then transplanted everything to a bed i created at the front of my house. that was about 4 weeks ago, everything seems to be doing alright but still quite small. i am gonna enjoy a nice black zuccini for Dinner tonight though. Hoorah!
