Tell us about your garden and what you're growing
I'm just into my second year of growing and have already learnt so much over the last year, which saw me growing tomatoes, capsicums, eggplants, broccolli, cabbage, cauliflower, spinach, lettuce, silverbeet, peas and various herbs. They were mainly grown in pots as I live in a rented unit with a tiny backyard. And I made my first relish and tomato sauce which I sent home to my family in Malaysia! This time round, I've moved from container planting to three small raised beds and in addition to the above am also now growing strawberries, french beans and cucumbers. And the best part is getting into companion planting with the use of herbs and bee-attracting/soil improving flowers (borage, nasturtium and marigold). The results so far (it's early summer now) has been promising and my garden is producing much more and much earlier!!! Still have plenty to learn though: i had NO idea how LARGE and prolific borage can get....but at least the bees are happy!!! ;)
