Hello everyone. Hope some of you can join us for the first series of Dirt Doctor seminars in Wellington this May to learn about bringing your soil to life. Some of you may be familiar with Dirt Doctor from Jim O'Gorman in 'Earth Whisperers' or know his son Matt Dadley, who taught seminars in Wellington before moving to India. My wife Hana and I have been in training with both to help them spread the word about growing the soil that grows your garden. We have just returned from Jim's place in North Otago where we were lucky enough to see (and taste!) 'the proof in the pudding', the fruits of an extremely productive and rich, soil-focused garden. And we're ready to get the wheels in motion again in Wellington!

Here is the link to the event

Dirt Doctor seminars provide the secrets to growing a lot of food, in little space for busy people. Soil-focused gardening gives you a new perspective on the benefits of weeds, an appreciation of the good microbes living within the soil and the knowledge you need to bring your own soil to life.

Please contact me if you are interested as places are limited to 10 people each. Hope to see you there!

Hi there Wellingtonians,
I just started a discussion called "StreetGardens Balaena Bay". If you happen to live in Roseneath, or even more overlooking Baleana Bay, please introduce yourself there and you'll become part of a growing network of foodgrowers in our little local area! We're also inviting people by doorknocking & real paper fliers, and most of the interaction will of course be real life, not online.
All the best for 2010!
