Yup- quite normal in warm weather- specially if it rained just before harvest and the sugar content (and sometimes germination inhibitors) of the fruit is diluted.
I had sprouting tomato seeds today! It made me think twice about whether the tomato was still edible... but it didn't seem in any way rotten/ing, so into the salsa it went! I was impressed, the sprouts even had the beginnings of green leaflets on them, without any exposure to sunlight!

Yes! I have bought apples at this time of the year with sprouting pips.
