Mice and a solution to the problem?

Hi All,

 

Well, as I expected, I have now got mice... I don't mind too much if they stay outside but one has recently invaded my house. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to deter them or get rid of them? I'd prefer something natural but am happy to listen to any suggestions.

    We dont have mice ... or rats, despite having four chickens. What we have is a family of stray cats living under our house. Personally I'm not keen on having stray cats about, but then I'm not a big fan of rodents either!

      Hi Caroline,

      We have 2 cats & a cat door. Both cats are excellent at catching mice, rats, wild ducks, rabbits & birds. Both of them like to bring them inside to eat! grrh! Before they eat it, they play with it & usually if it's the older cat then he likes to play hide & seek!

      We've tried all the wooden mouse traps out there but they are all crap & don't work.  The best one we have found is a little cheap black plastic one which comes in a pack of 2.  It was bought at the supermarket or you could try the warehouse. Just looking at it now, there is no brand name on it so I couldn't even tell you what to look for (sorry). The shape of it looks like a mouth with teeth! hehe, but it gets them all the time.
