I bought a 2500 square metre property last year and am keen to produce as much of our food from the gardens. i have created two main veg gardens and am now planting fruit trees. Through some recent reading I have become interested in applying the principles of permaculture and am keen to learn more about this

Hi Bruce, somehow I only just saw your question about sheet mulching. Just be careful that you're not creating an anaerobic (lack of oxygen) mat as most microbial life needs air (and water) to survive and anaerobic conditions are prone to breeding pathogens and killing the beneficials. However the worms are obviously a good sign!
