Hello Waihekean person,

If you're interested there are still a few subscriptions available for the first season of the fledgling Waiheke CSA (Waiheke Community Supported Agriculture).

First produce expected in early Jan so you've not missed out on anything yet.

Could be a great thing for the island over the coming years!

Website has some more info.

Thanks Isabell. Yes, Jenifer was a spammer so we have suspended her account. She sent messages to a lot of people. From now on all new members need to be approved.

Hi Pete I received an ooooby mail from some one called jenifer, in poor english asking me to email them back on adress given. i was surprised as they were not on my friend list and wanted to check them out before emailing back and then couldnt find their page on ooooby.
its taken me a few days to ask about this and now it appears I have accidentally deleted their email and cant give you more info. any way just seemed a bit odd?

Hi Pete,

Please check my latest posting on Waitakere sharing group. It is a youtube link that I think you will find interesting.

Have a cool Yule, and I hope your holes fill up real soon.

Hi Pete

Regarding the Shareholders Agreement can you elaborate for me on the $2,000 per week retainer paid to the GM. Does that works out at $104,000 pa for a 20 hour week? The number seems high to me in the context of a company with no profit and virtually no cashflow.

Sure Ill do something for the blog, will be later tonight as im currently flat out.
Saw the changes - nope they are fine im in total agreement as I too would like it to succeed. This system works overseas in a real big way and i cant see why t cant work here.
One mans junk is anothers treasure as I have found many times when im "on the scrounge" as I call it.

Hi Pete

Are we able to set up another group for other recycling items other than gardening? I do agree with your comment on the freecycle group.

Hi Pete. Do you have a few templates for fliers and posters? Be great to put them up on "Destination Ooooby" for people to download and print to give there neighbors and local community. Even if it's just a link to the downloads.

Competition Capsicum - the first month

The Competition Capsicum was planted out about a month ago, so it's probably time for an update. I was overjoyed when the first flower opened, but somewhat dismayed when it fell off the following day, to be followed by the bit of stalk that connects the flower to the main stalk some days later (not sure on the correct anatomical terms for capsicum, or vegetable plants in general).

WE WILL BUY FOOD FROM YOUR GARDEN !

Ooooby Stall sells fruit & veg lovingly grown in local neighbourhood gardens.

With avid gardeners being the main contributors, the quality of produce is typically higher than most yet the prices are still good.

The first Stall is at the Grey Lynn Farmers Market, Auckland, each Sunday. (expt last of the month)

Bring any produce you can from your garden and we'll do a deal.

Not from around Auckland? Why not start an Ooooby Stall in your area? More info...
